Well a few days ago I decided it was time to start sleep training Andrew. It is just too exhausting getting up 3 times a night and make bottles. So the first night was a little rough. Andrew made it till 2:30am and then he fought for about and hour. I would go in every 5 minutes and rock him and lay him back down. Eventually he calmed down and just wanted me to stay there and hold his hand while he fell asleep. After that he slept until 8:30. Last night was the second night of sleep training and he did better. I only gave him his 1 bottle at 7:30. He woke up at 2:30am again and cried for a little bit. This time I let him have a little bit of water and that was enough to calm him down and he went right back to sleep. At around 6am he was up again so I decided I would give him a bottle because he had made it 11 hours without eating anything. I don't do any bottles in the crib anymore because I was reading some books and they said that giving him those bottles at night was inhibiting him from being able to sleep on his own. Andrew is still asleep this morning and it is 9:00! Nice that I got to sleep in and eat my breakfast and get ready for the day. Hopefully tonight he just sleeps through. It hasn't been that bad sleep training; I wish I would have done it a long time ago!

Almost 11 months!
Well this week has been pretty rough. At the beginning of the week I got a bad cold and was just feeling so nauseous it was so hard to keep up with little Andrew. But today my cold has finally eased up and I feel a lot better. Andrew and I had a really fun day. We went to a place called Barbujas which is an indoor playground for little kids 6months and up. It was perfect for Andrew. We went with our friend Polly and her 2 boys Jackson and Sam. Andrew thought it was so funny to be bounced on the trampoline. He would laugh and laugh when the boys would jump. They would bounce him pretty big but he just thought it was hilarious. He also loved the ball pit. He sat for about 20 minutes just shaking with excitement looking at all the balls. He then grabbed every ball he could find and tried to eat them, haha. At least the place was really new and clean. He also had fun going down a little slide. He can do it himself if I catch him at the bottom now. They also had a bubble machine that blew bubbles from the ceiling. Andrew was scared of that though. We will definitely be going back to that place. We spend about 2 1/2 hours there and Andrew would have stayed even longer but I wanted him to go home and take a nap.

The beach we stayed at was so beautiful! The water was even prettier than in Miami.
Brandon caught his sailfish! He was so excited!
The pools were shallow enough for Andrew to crawl in so he had lots of fun crawling everywhere. Except then he only wanted to crawl to the side and climb out so I had to chase him a lot.
Tulum
Andrew likes to escape!
Andrew loves Brett's teeth
We just got back from Mexico! We had so much fun! The weather was perfect for us while we were there. It was really nice to see family and spend some relaxing time at the beach and pool. Andrew loved the pools; especially the shallow ones where he could crawl all over and escape. We would go swimming every day. The beach we stayed on is so beautiful. It is hard to beat the water here in Miami but the water there was even better. Andrew is scared of the ocean now though. He clings so tightly to Brandon when we take him in. The waves are to loud and scary for him so he much prefers crawling and digging in the sand. When the waves aren't too big he likes swimming in the ocean but most of the time it is too scary for him. We will have to keep taking him so he stops being scared of the water.
Brandon got to go on a deep sea fishing expedition. He caught a sailfish that was over 100lbs! He was so excited! He has been wanting to catch one forever and he did it. That made his whole trip. We also went to see the ruins at Tulum. They are really neat. The ruins are pretty much right on the beach so it was really hot, but they were pretty amazing. Brandon also went snorkeling and saw all sorts of sea turtles and fish and rays in Akumal. I was pretty nauseous on the trip so I wasn't able to do the snorkeling but the beach there was really beautiful as well.
The last day we played some beach volleyball. It was super fun except Brandon hurt his back really badly playing. He could not bend over or stand up straight. So the flight home was pretty rough. Andrew at least fell asleep 5 minutes after the plane took off so that was a blessing. Brandon went to the E.R last night and had them x-ray his back to see what happened. The doctor wasn't sure what was wrong so he has to go back in a week if he still can't move. But he got some crutches and some stronger pain meds so hopefully that helps him get through the week. Brandon left for the Dominican Republic this morning so this week it is just Andrew and I here. Andrew is really happy to be home. He missed his bed! He slept in till 10:00 this morning and is already taking another nap so that is a blessing for me to get to rest a little!
