More swimming

 Evie loves swimming :)
 Andrew floating all by himself!

We got to go to the pool again today. It's nice having Brandon around now. He gets a 2 week break before he starts his rotations at the hospital so we are making the most of his small summer break. The kids really love the pool so it is a nice way to spend the afternoon.
Andrew is so funny. He now says "poop" haha. He comes up and whispers it very quietly to me when he has a poop, haha. I guess that is a good step for potty training except he tells me after he has gone.

Doctor visit, pool

Evie and I went to church on sunday. She was a big hit in relief society :)

This weekend we took Evie and Andrew to the pool just to get the kids out of the house. Our apartment has 2 really nice pools. We got Andrew some floaties for his arms to try and a kickboard. Andrew can swim by himself with the arm floaties! I didn't think they would hold him up that well but they work great! Andrew loved being all by himself in the water but didn't want to leave the floaties on for long. Evie had so much fun swimming. It was her first time getting all the way in the pool. She was kicking and moving her arms already. She loved the water. She swam for a long time and got super worn out. She is going to be a little water baby just like Andrew was. We are going to sign them both up for swim lessons soon.
We went to the doctor today for Evie's well visit and to get her shots. Evie weighs 13.7lbs now and is 24inches. She is right in the middle so growing well :) Evie was a champ for her shots. She cried a little but that was all and she actually liked drinking the yucky immunization down. Andrew got checked out too. It turns out he has an ear infection and we still need to give him his inhaler every 4-6 hours for his cough. They are both going to be evaluated later as well. Andrew for his speech and Evie for her torticolis (she still tilts her head to one side pretty bad).

Rainy week, sick kids

Evie loves going for walks in the backpack!
Andrew has finally started to like building with blocks. We built a lot of towers which he then loves to smash
Clothespin skills are a new one we are working on. He can't quite pinch the clothespin open but he likes trying. We did this for about 30 minutes

We had been sitting in living room enjoying peace for a moment and then I wondered what Andrew was up to becuase he was being so quiet. He had pulled all of our clothes out of the dresser and dumped them in Evie's crib, haha. It took a while to clean up but he sure had fun.

I learned that if I give Andrew a bucket of ice while I am trying to cook he entertains himself for a while. He loves to stir the ice and eat it and then it gets dumped out all over the floor.

I found a magnetic cooking pan in the apartment to use for his magnet animals. Andrew knows what all of the animals are now. I tell him to find one and he picks it out of the pile and puts it on the cooking sheet. It is good practice for his words. He still won't say any of the animals names except for cat.

Andrew loves his puppets too. He likes to put the puppets on his hands and then pick up other objects for the puppets to hold.
We have a jar of coins that Andrew loves to put in the slot. He has started to say the word coin.

I came into the bedroom to find Andrew standing on top of his walker. I don't know how he balances so well!

This week we had to take Andrew to the E.R again. He had a runny nose in the morning and by the evening it turned into an episode where he couldn't breathe so we rushed him to the hospital. They gave him some breathing treatment and did a chest x-ray. He has bronchiolitis. He is getting better but still coughing a lot. When he is sick he gets even more hyper than before if that is possible. He will not just sit and watch his shows. I have had to go on really long stroller walks to get him to sit and relax for a moment. Evie has had a stuffy nose too but I gave her some saline and he nose seems to be doing better now. I really hope it doesn't turn into anything like Andrew's.
Andrew has been growing up a lot lately. He has started to want to sleep in the big bed and eat on the big chair at meal time. He also insists on feeding himself. He won't eat if I try to do it but when I give him the fork he eats just fine. He finally said Dadda today too! The talking is still coming very slowly; we are working hard on it.
Evie is very busy as well. She flips immediately to her tummy when you lay her on her back and starts kicking her legs and going crazy. She wants to crawl so badly. She likes being on her tummy now. She is also starting to grab things and hold on to her toys. Her laugh is so cute too. She really loves Brandon and give him lots of giggles and smiles.
It has been really rainy the past week so we have been stuck inside. I've been trying to come up with more activities for Andrew. As long as he has something a little challenging to do he is fine. When he is out of things to do he immediately starts trouble-making. He can pretty much get into everything now. He loves to close the door to our bedroom and then hurry and get splashing in the toilet. His kitty stuffed animal had a bath in the toilet while I was feeding Evie the other day. He knows when he is doing something he shouldn't and he gives me the biggest grin when he gets away with something, haha.

New house!

Evie loves the jumper. She sits in there for 20 minutes happy as can be

Andrew asks to hold Evie now, he likes to help out

Talking on the phone to Grandma

 Our big playroom!

Andrew is really good at puzzles now
Evie's shoes my mom made :)

We are finally in our new house. We love it! It feels so huge compared to our last house. It is really nice. It is really nice to have a playroom for all the toys. The move was really hard with the kids. Poor Roger and Brandon lifted everything all by themselves. But we did it in 1 day. The area here is much more family friendly than downtown. We are right on the bay so we can walk down to the water and see all the boats. Andrew loves looking at them. Our new ward is really nice too. There are a few kids Andrew's age for him to play with in nursery and he loves it :) I didn't get to really meet anybody on Sunday because I helped out in nursery but hopefully next week I get to meet a few ladies.
Evie is growing up so fast. She immediately flips onto her belly if you put her on her back now. She is ready to crawl! She is so busy all the time. I guess I didn't expect anything else. She has quite a personality already. She hates the car so bad. Once you put her in her car seat she screams bloody murder until you get her out. She will go for an hour without stopping. The second you get her out she smiles and is happy again. She just really hates the car. She is giggling a lot now too. She is such a sweetie when she is not in the car. Evie really likes to play with the mirror. I put her on her tummy in front of the mirror and she laughs and makes faces at herself.
Andrew is adjusting well to being in a new place. It was hard for him for a few days but after we got all our stuff in here he has been fine. There is plenty of space for him to run around here. There is a park within walking distance so we go for our morning walk there and he runs around. He is so funny now he has to take most of his stuffed animals with him wherever he goes. So froggy and puppy, snake and elephant all get to go to the park and go down the slide and in the swing, haha. He is cute.
