Strawberry picking, summer, workout pics

The kids love visiting Daddy at work and getting ice cream!

I took the kids to pick strawberries. They thought it was so fun! Layla probably ate about 1/2 pound of strawberries haha. She just ran around picking any strawberry off she could find. Some were so gross but she didn't care! Evie and Andrew filled up their baskets and had a blast.

Layla is learning to eat with a spoon. She finally gets her own bowl of oatmeal. She always goes in Evie's room and grabs handfuls of Evie's leftover oatmeal so I figured she should learn how to eat with a spoon and not her hands!

We went to the park for an evening picnic dinner. I tried to take the kids to subway to get sandwiches but they thought everything looks disgusting so we bought bread and all they wanted on it was bacon so we had bacon sandwiches.
 Princess dress ups haha
The kids have been working hard on their summer reading so I took them to the arcade to celebrate.
Evie's new favorite dinner! I made whole wheat healthy waffles and she devoured it because it had a little whip cream and sprinkles haha.

Love cross fit!  155lbs!
A little over a year after having Layla and I'm getting fitter than I've ever been! It feels awesome! Can't wait to see where I'll be next year!

Summertime!

It's been such nice hot weather so we have been taking full advantage of Hershey Park!

It was rainy one day so I took the kids to an arcade. They love arcades!

Layla ate about 4 Popsicles, haha. She loves them!

Hershey Park water park is so fun. We got to go with Brandon once and I've taken the kids myself also. Layla loves to get in the water. We played in the pool for about 3 hours!

Layla loves to dump water on the floor so at least she can do it to her hearts content outside haha.

We went to the Memorial Day parade. It was really small and they only threw a couple of suckers out for the kids but the kids thought it was amazing so it was fun enough.

Getting sprayed by Daddy on the trampoline. Andrew loves it!

It's been a hot couple of weeks so it has been fun to be outside all day! We planted a little garden in our backyard the kids are loving. Andrew has to check on his tomatoes and peppers every day to see if they are growing bigger. They love to water and take care of their flowers. We now have a resident chipmunk who won't leave our yard no matter how many times I try to get him to go so he is always out there leaving seeds all over. At least he's fun for the kids to watch. I also had to chase a gopher or some large animal out the other day; the fences don't bother animals at all I guess.
Brandon had a random month of working in the SICU doing nights and at the VA hospital. We've almost made it through our first year so that's exciting! They say second year is a little easier so hopefully that's true! I'm still working at the gym and doing my crossfit training. I really want to do a weight lifting competition but I still have so far to go. Fun to have a goal though! I'm at 195lbs for squats, 125lbs for cleans, 165lbs deadlifts, 85lbs bench press. I like having goals you can measure each week. I'm still the weakest one at crossfit; those girls are so tough! Pretty inspiring to be around people who are so strong.

Grandma visit! D.C, springtime, Hershey park

We had a crazy, but fun trip out to D.C for the day with Grandma. The kids were wild but it was fun to be in a different place for the day. We saw the Abraham Lincoln memorial, the washington monument, and the capital building. Afterwards we went to the zoo! Busy day!

We got to a fun little gymnastics class on Wednesdays where they just let the kids play around on the floor. Andrew's favorite thing is to leap off tall stairs into the foam pit. He has no fear!

It was finally a nice day so we went to Hershey Park! The girls were soooo cute in their matching outfits; they got a lot of compliments.

haha our kids' photography skills :)

A nice lady gave us free tickets to the hershey story museum and hershey gardens so we went and had a fun afternoon there.
The kids love flying kites. It's been pretty windy but not quite good enough for getting the kites to go high. They don't mind though, they just run themselves out until they are so tired they want to go back in haha.

Made playdough creatures with candy eyeballs

D.C zoo is super big and fun. They loved the seals the best. The seal played with Andrew for a long time. He would put his fingers on the glass and the seal would bite them haha. They did it for 10 minutes!
