This past week Brandon and I got to go to Miami to look for an apartment to live in. My mom came too to help us look which was really nice. Miami is so beautiful! I have never lived so close to a beach before, it will be so awesome! The weather was about 80 degrees every day and sunny. The beaches are so clean and amazing. The water is very blue and pretty warm. The apartment search could not have gone better. The first day we flew into Miami we started looking at lots of apartments. We wanted something close to the medical school so that Brandon would not have to go so far to get to school every day. It suprised me how much it costs a month to rent an apartment. We found lots that were junky and were still around 1000$ per month. But we ended up finding a great place called Park Place which is about 1159$ per month. It was a little more than we wanted to spend on an apartment but it was so much better than all the other ones we looked at. We got a two bedroom apartment and it seems pretty big inside; it was a great deal! The apartment is really close to the medical school; only about 5 minutes driving and within walking distance of the metro that takes you to the school. We are on the third floor and have a balcony out the back. We also have a pool and hot tub right outside in a courtyard area which is really nice! I'm really excited to move into our own place. It feels weird to be growing up so fast and having a baby and moving across the country but it is really exciting at the same time. I need to learn how to be more independent and how to make it on our own so it will be a great learning and growing experience for me. The ward we are going to go to is a bilingual ward. Some people get up and speak in Spanish and some get up and speak in English; its really interesting! It will be great for my Spanish. I am suprised how much I can remember and understand of Spanish I just have to get the guts to talk to people in Spanish now! I really hope to become bilingual while we are living in Miami, it is a great opportunity for me :)

Weeks 12-16
I went to the doctor again and got to hear the heartbeat for the second time. Everything is going great for me and the baby :) The doctor said I need to gain more weight though in the upcoming weeks, I have only gained a pound or two right now. So I have been trying to eat as much as I can, haha, its harder than it sounds! My belly is finally starting to show and I have had to buy some new pants even though its not very big yet. I am still feeling sick every now and then. I get sick especially when I don't drink enough water so I am making sure to keep hydrated. I mostly am just really tired all the time! It is hard to keep going to school and working hard to end out the semester. There are only about 4 more weeks of school and then I am done with college! It seems to have come so fast! I'm really excited to be done with school and get to move on with life; its so hard to keep studying and working so hard. Right now I have decided not to do a dietetic internship because there would just be no time for me to do it right now. Brandon will be going to medical school in Miami for long hours and I will need to be home with the baby. I'm not sad that I am not doing an internship, I have always wanted to be a mom and now I get to be one and am really excited. I am getting my degree and am happy for that. Someday I may decide to do an internship and become a registered dietitian but for now I am really excited to learn how to be a good mom :)

11 weeks
On Friday Brandon and I got to hear our baby's heartbeat when we went to the doctor. It was so fun to know there really is something growing inside of me! The doctor said I am really healthy and doing well. And after you hear the heartbeat there is less than a 1% chance of having a miscarriage so that is good news. I am still very naseaus all the time which makes school really difficult to go to but I'm keeping up the best I can. The doctor gave me some nasea pills but they seemed to hurt my stomach worse so I stopped taking them. Right now I am just going crazy wondering if we are going to have a boy or a girl. It will be so nice to be able to refer to the baby as a girl or a boy rather than "it". Around 20 weeks is when we get to find that out so not for a while. 20 weeks is also when my stomach will start sticking out more so that will be interesting. I already can't fit into some of my dressier pants but I think most of it is just bloating.
Today we also found out that Brandon got accepted to the medical school in Miami which is where Brandon has been dying to go. So we are going to be moving to Miami at the end of May. He starts his program there at the end of June. I’m so excited! We get to live right on the beach and have no more snow; it’s going to be awesome!

6 Weeks Pregnant
I am just 6 weeks pregnant. I just went to my first doctors appointment, but it was nothing special. They did not even do any blood work yet. I am starting to feel really nauseous. Just the thought of some foods really make me sick like Mexican food. It is still so crazy to me that there is something growing inside of me. I don't think I will be able to believe it until my belly starts to get bigger. My next appointment is at week 10 and they said we would be able to hear the baby's heart beat then, I'm really excited!

Pregnant!
I just found out I was pregnant while we were visiting Brandon's family in Orlando at Disneyworld. I had been feeling really worn out and starving and thought it would just be fun to try a pregnancy test. I took the test way early and both Brandon and I did not think it would work, but it did! It was so surprising! We had not even been trying for more than a few weeks. I am very excited though. Ever since I got married I have been dying to be a mom. I had been debating whether to do an internship or try having a baby so I decided we could try to have a baby and if that did not work I would do my internship. But it worked so now I get to be a mom :)

Diving in Bahamas
Bahamas
Brandon and I went to the Bahams (Paradise Island) for Christmas break. It was so beautiful and warm! We got to stay really close to amazing private beaches. The weather was really good most of the time, it only rained on one day. We did not even get sunburned! My favorite part about the beaches were the really fine sand. It was so powdery. The water was not very warm but it was not freezing so we were able to get in. The only bummer about the Bahamas is how expensive the food is. The locals told us that the women get on an airplane and go to Miami to do their grocery shopping, and that is cheaper than buying food on the island. We stayed at the Comfort Suites which was right next to the huge resort Atlantis. We recieved all the same ammenities as the guests at Atlantis for half the price. We got to see the huge aquarium, go to the great waterpark, and access the beautiful beaches. It was a really fun adventure :)
