I forgot to write about my baby shower. My mom's friend Shannon Brown put together a really cute jungle themed baby shower for me. It was really nice of her. Her whole house looked so cute! I was surprised how many people came to the shower too. The shower was really great. I always hate being the center of attention though because I am so bad at talking to people and I just go really red in the face the whole time, haha. But everybody was really nice and generous we got so many baby clothes! Our little boy is not even here yet and he is spoiled! I just washed some of the baby clothes though and a few turned pink, I was so sad! It could have been worse but all the clothes were so adorable it is sad that a few got ruined. Having all of this baby stuff just makes me want to see my baby though! I am 26 weeks and still have so long to go before I get to see my baby. I'm so excited for him!

Miami
We are finally moved into our apartment! It was such a crazy week traveling down to Miami. The drive was 41 hours long. We had planned to visit all the temples along the way but only ended up making it to the Monticello temple in Southern Utah because Brandon got really sick. He ended up having to go the ER in Louisiana which was awful! The hospital was so dirty and it was in a really scary neighborhood. We got to the ER and Brandon was throwing up non-stop and finally they took us back and gave Brandon morphine and an IV. They did all sorts of tests and did not find the problem but at least the meds helped Brandon stop throwing up. It was the most tired and draining day of my life. I was so scared because I couldn't do anything for him! He was so sick. I was crying half the night because I was so worried about him and it took so long for the doctors to take us back to the ER room. They finally diagnosed Brandon with enteritis which is inflammation of the gut. We stayed at the ER for about 8 hours and then drove back to the hotel the next morning. I was so tired. We slept for about 5 hours and then headed off for Alabama. After we left they did a fecal test they couldn't do the night before and found that Brandon had C Difficil which is a bacteria infection in the gut. So they called us and said we needed to come straight back into the ER but by then we were already in Alabama so we decided to try to make it to Miami for Brandon to see another doctor. It was such an awful road trip. Poor Brandon had to stop every hour to go to the bathroom and the drive seemed to go on forever. But somehow we were blessed and we finally made it to Miami safely and the medicine the doctors had given us had started working at least enough to stop Brandon from throwing up constantly. We still need to get him into a GI doctor but we are very blessed that it has been at least kept in check for the move.
We also stopped San Antonio Texas and went to see the Alamo and the Riverwalk there. The Alamo was in the middle of the big city and was way smaller than I thought it would be. It was still pretty neat to see though I still need to read up on all that happened there. The Riverwalk was pretty cool too. There is a river in the middle of the city that is just surrounded by restaurants. So we walked around and ate at one of the restaurants there; it was really fun :) After San Antonio we went to Houston to visit some of Brandon's family's from his mission. We stayed at Maria's house and visited about 4 family's. Everyone was so nice. I had to get my brain thinking in Spanish again though because most of them spoke only Spanish, but after listening for a while I was able to understand at least most of what was being said.
Brandon's Mom and Dad came down to Miami to help us buy furniture and things for our apartment and get settled which was really nice of them. We were able to find couch, dining table, and dresser which are really amazing looking. It was a really big blessing that they were able to help us get set up here. I still need to decorate and make it look more like home, but it is getting closer. We also found a baby consignment store where you can buy baby things that are used for a much cheaper price so we got a swing, bouncer, mobile, and play set for the baby. He is not even here yet and is getting spoiled! haha. It's still crazy that we are here in Miami, it hasn't quite hit me that we are going to be living here for a long time. The apartment is nice though and we are lucky to be able to live here. The pool is really nice with soft music that plays by it. I love the palm trees that are all around too; its really beautiful. I'm excited to make the apartment feel like home and get settled here :)

Graduation!!
We finally graduated from BYU! I can't believe it came so fast! I'm so happy to be done with school but now I don't know what to do with myself. I have been cleaning and running around trying to be busy, haha. Graduation was really nice. We just wen to the Thursday commencement instead of both thursday and Friday graduation. On Thursday we first went to my dietetics special presentation which was really nice. We made a movie about our favorite moments in the dietetics program and the professors gave some speeches and read what each of us would be doing in the future. I really want to take the DTR (dietetic technician registered) exam and become certified instead of doing an internship. It would be too impossible with a baby to do an internship while Brandon is in Medical School. After the presentation we went to Brick Oven for lunch with my Dad, Mom, and Gram. I was really craving calzones! After that we got changed into our robes and went to the Marriot Center for the commencement. Elder Scott was the key note speaker and gave an excellent talk about keeping our character wherever we go and staying spiritually strong. Then we were graduated! It is still such a weird feeling.

End of semester, Baby Boy, Miami
It is the end of the semester and things have gotten crazy. I get to graduate on Thursday this week, I still can’t believe it! It is going to be the weirdest feeling ever to be completely done with school. My whole life has been school and now I finally get to move on with the rest of life. I probably won’t know what to do with myself when I don’t have to study anymore, haha.
Well the most exciting news ever this past week is that we found out we are going to have a baby boy! I am really excited. A little princess girl would have been fun to have but I think I will be a good boy mom too. I’m not too girly myself so hopefully I can be a good boy mom. My belly is just starting to poke out so until I saw the ultrasound it has been so hard to believe anything is growing in there. It is the first ultrasound I have been to that I remember so it was really cool to see the baby and his head and spine and heart and things. The technician was funny she said she was 100% sure it is a boy as evident by the picture, haha. We don’t really know what to name him right now. I really like the names Alec and Andrew (Andy) and Brandon really likes the names Dominick and Owen so now we have to decide which is really hard because that’s what his name will be for his entire life! We have to pick a good one.
We also get to move on May 12th to Miami which I can’t believe is coming so fast. I am excited but nervous at the same time. I am so bad at making friends and things so I am really worried I am going to be a loner when we get there. I am just going to have to make myself be really friendly and talk to everyone. It will be kind of hard too because the ward we will go to is a Spanish speaking ward and my Spanish is not exactly perfect right now. I took it for 6 years but I still can’t speak it very well. At least I understand everything but it’s hard to make friends with people when you can’t talk to them very well. I’m sure I will pick it up fast but it is still a little scary. Miami is gorgeous though! I am so lucky I get to live there for at least the next 4 years.

Miami
This past week Brandon and I got to go to Miami to look for an apartment to live in. My mom came too to help us look which was really nice. Miami is so beautiful! I have never lived so close to a beach before, it will be so awesome! The weather was about 80 degrees every day and sunny. The beaches are so clean and amazing. The water is very blue and pretty warm. The apartment search could not have gone better. The first day we flew into Miami we started looking at lots of apartments. We wanted something close to the medical school so that Brandon would not have to go so far to get to school every day. It suprised me how much it costs a month to rent an apartment. We found lots that were junky and were still around 1000$ per month. But we ended up finding a great place called Park Place which is about 1159$ per month. It was a little more than we wanted to spend on an apartment but it was so much better than all the other ones we looked at. We got a two bedroom apartment and it seems pretty big inside; it was a great deal! The apartment is really close to the medical school; only about 5 minutes driving and within walking distance of the metro that takes you to the school. We are on the third floor and have a balcony out the back. We also have a pool and hot tub right outside in a courtyard area which is really nice! I'm really excited to move into our own place. It feels weird to be growing up so fast and having a baby and moving across the country but it is really exciting at the same time. I need to learn how to be more independent and how to make it on our own so it will be a great learning and growing experience for me. The ward we are going to go to is a bilingual ward. Some people get up and speak in Spanish and some get up and speak in English; its really interesting! It will be great for my Spanish. I am suprised how much I can remember and understand of Spanish I just have to get the guts to talk to people in Spanish now! I really hope to become bilingual while we are living in Miami, it is a great opportunity for me :)
Weeks 12-16
I went to the doctor again and got to hear the heartbeat for the second time. Everything is going great for me and the baby :) The doctor said I need to gain more weight though in the upcoming weeks, I have only gained a pound or two right now. So I have been trying to eat as much as I can, haha, its harder than it sounds! My belly is finally starting to show and I have had to buy some new pants even though its not very big yet. I am still feeling sick every now and then. I get sick especially when I don't drink enough water so I am making sure to keep hydrated. I mostly am just really tired all the time! It is hard to keep going to school and working hard to end out the semester. There are only about 4 more weeks of school and then I am done with college! It seems to have come so fast! I'm really excited to be done with school and get to move on with life; its so hard to keep studying and working so hard. Right now I have decided not to do a dietetic internship because there would just be no time for me to do it right now. Brandon will be going to medical school in Miami for long hours and I will need to be home with the baby. I'm not sad that I am not doing an internship, I have always wanted to be a mom and now I get to be one and am really excited. I am getting my degree and am happy for that. Someday I may decide to do an internship and become a registered dietitian but for now I am really excited to learn how to be a good mom :)

11 weeks
On Friday Brandon and I got to hear our baby's heartbeat when we went to the doctor. It was so fun to know there really is something growing inside of me! The doctor said I am really healthy and doing well. And after you hear the heartbeat there is less than a 1% chance of having a miscarriage so that is good news. I am still very naseaus all the time which makes school really difficult to go to but I'm keeping up the best I can. The doctor gave me some nasea pills but they seemed to hurt my stomach worse so I stopped taking them. Right now I am just going crazy wondering if we are going to have a boy or a girl. It will be so nice to be able to refer to the baby as a girl or a boy rather than "it". Around 20 weeks is when we get to find that out so not for a while. 20 weeks is also when my stomach will start sticking out more so that will be interesting. I already can't fit into some of my dressier pants but I think most of it is just bloating.
Today we also found out that Brandon got accepted to the medical school in Miami which is where Brandon has been dying to go. So we are going to be moving to Miami at the end of May. He starts his program there at the end of June. I’m so excited! We get to live right on the beach and have no more snow; it’s going to be awesome!

6 Weeks Pregnant
I am just 6 weeks pregnant. I just went to my first doctors appointment, but it was nothing special. They did not even do any blood work yet. I am starting to feel really nauseous. Just the thought of some foods really make me sick like Mexican food. It is still so crazy to me that there is something growing inside of me. I don't think I will be able to believe it until my belly starts to get bigger. My next appointment is at week 10 and they said we would be able to hear the baby's heart beat then, I'm really excited!
